So, after losing a 3v3 event to our priest accidentally getting a tick of water when we had clearly won, I've decided to suggest rethinking the event rules (yes I'm kinda ticked, it was over, oh well revann best player server).

You should be allowed to drink in events. You have to be out of combat to drink, and it's the other team's fault for letting you get OOC to regenerate. You can also drink in retail arena, so why not here (correct me if I'm wrong)? It also allows for more strategic play, rather than having a wand-fest when everyone is OOM (see most recent 3v3 event).

Post/vote here, lemme know your thoughts!

Aren't you just able to drink in arena? Except you got a mage in your team.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I don't play retail but I have seen people drinking in it. If it is mage water, then I need to be corrected. Maybe someone with a little more retail insight could lend some wisdom.

Also, yeah, good call on the drinking only. I'll edit that ;o

If you could edit the title to just drinking, it's be appreciated. I must be blind because I can't figure out how ;o

There is actually BG water you can buy as any class on retail and use in arenas however only mage teams can use food in arenas.

From what i can recall, the not drinking during event fights rule was introduced about 2-3 years ago after an Oblivion gnome mage spent like 20minutes or more in the final fight polymorphing, drinking and kiting until he eventually won.can t remember name, maybe someone can help me with the name,Ridi or k20 or anyone else who witnessed it,it was an epic fight, hard to forget

Yeah, it's not like mages are OP as it is already, let's just add drinking back again.

lel.

Edit: I will never understand why Grenades are allowed in a PvP event, do tell.

No I think drinking in pvp events shouldn't be allowed. People make big mistakes and get out of control quickly after drinking. Especially mages with their immense magic abilities are likely to cause a disaster when they are drunk in a fight. We should serve free beer and burgers for the spectators tho

this would get me interested in attending more events myself and a + to that is all the peasants on this server have the honor to be in the same arena as i am
on topic: ooc drinking works in retail arena cuz of all the pillars that let you LoS in gurubashi arena it would just be retarded as its a flat field and think of the nelfs shadowmeld drink gg
