What i don't like about inquisitor and their raid progression is how they only stick to 1 core raid group, so basically everyone on this server who's not in it can say bb to experiencing endgame content. Sad

That's not the topic of this thread.

Oh. Well, that's it. You're dead. You had a good run, but everybody knows that rocket launches are like first impressions: You only get one chance at them, and if something goes wrong, everybody is on fire.

There are enough players on alliance side at least to make another serious raiding guild, going only by numbers Unique should still be progressing. If others plain aren't good enough then that is hardly inquisitor's fault.

Well, i'm thinking of how popular inquisitor is , why not make a second raid group? i mean i'm sure if people  were given the chance to join inq they'd leave their guild asap to join. BTW is anyone else experienceing login issues?

Honestly , don't be foolish, not every person , those capable of learning/knowledgeable of expected content , maybe gear them up a lil(Those needed) then you got yourself 40 able bodied raiders for the second raid, besides, i'm sure there's enough fully geared people in inq to help out with the 2nd raid group if help is needed.

So what your saying is that its our fault that people doesnt team up on their own and succeed (instead of wiping at chrom/maybe killing some boss in early aq40)? We dont have enough people online for two raid groups, so what the meaning is of your post is not clear to me. If you have anything to say on this thread, it should be progressing towards getting Devs to spill some beans on how naxx-development is going.

As you hijacked this post abit (from what I could see by briefly reading through it all) I feel allowed to continue your post abit:P

At the moment Inquisitor is (from what I can see) the only serious raiding guild on alliance side. As a member of Unique though, I can surely say we are trying our very best to manage another raiding guild in addition to Inquisitor.

I guess I am one of the few ppl that were "sad" when Prominence disbanded and left - though I can't base that on anything but trolls and people in world chat talking. Personally PvE progress is the most important thing ingame for myself, and it has been as of retail release in EU. Competition has always been the backbone for myself and my experiences, and getting server firsts are always something I eager to achieve - and raiders alike (atleast I think thats the case, not everyone is a loothogger). On VG Inquisitor is superior to us, and we wont ever get any server firsts (atleast not as the server is atm). But with prominence which was an equal guild progresswise it gave us competition. I believe firmly that helped people read more try more and stay longer in raids - just to get that little advantage Smiley

However with Prominence out of the question, we got some benefits in forms of players. Many of them are good players too, so it helps alot.

I am pretty new on this server, only been around for about 3 months now. We have cleared MC and tried a few times on Nefarian. We have tried AQ40 one time, and cleared up to Skeram. I believe we could down him at a good night with a good setup, but those nights are so rare.

Good setups is essentially our biggest problem. We have quite a few good and dedicated - all around active - players. However, we also have quite a few people that seemingly have no previous experience with 40 man raiding - or having problems communicating or understanding basic teamplay. Obviously dedication to actually know their class / read tactics / get consumables, is a problem aswell for some people.

What we are working on atm, and have been the past 2 months, is to help those players the best we can. At the same time we try to be realistic, and boot those who either show no progress, or no will to learn - or simply doesnt want to communicate for different reasons.

At the same time, we have oldtimers. Good people! Unfortunately *most* of them are unreliable for a progressing guild(meaning they are not likely to stay active for a very long time). We really need steady players that wants to join us get the progress we need to keep the motivation up for the general members. Without a proper setup its hard to have that continuous progress. Last but not least, with 20 ppl, its fairly hard to raid when most people are maximum geared with 1-2 T2 pieces, and rest T1 and blues.

When we started progressing in BWL, we still had _alot_ of players standing aroud in green gear and even gray pieces, no enchants, no consumables. I dont have to explain why that is a problem.

Sorry for the lack of structure in this post, got abit out of hand.

Back to the issue, getting good players. We are getting more and more good players, but the problem is it takes a long time. This being a low population server, good players doesnt come aroud too often - atleast not good PvE wise and dedication to the guild. When they do, we try to take them in with a warm welcome (atleast I feel I do!), but a slow progress is not something everyone settles down with, and people go inactive or leave to do PvP / join Inquisitor.

So problem in short, we have a fairly good core of raiders (growing every month), and the rest of the raid are often people that does "ok", but isnt as reliable as we'd wish them to be. Leaving without notifying/not showing up, not enchanting their gear, not reading tactics and so on. The better half is carrying the lazy half, if we manage to fill a whole raid. The steady players obviously get tired from these raids.

Lately we've also had a problem filling our raids. Some have left due to exams, some due to the holidays, but the problem in general is people arent coming back. We'll see how it goes next year Smiley

Inquisitor as I see it, is not a problem for us. I totally understand people leaving us for Inquisitor - and I still have respect for those players. I also can not do anything but respect Inquisitor for doing so good, on a lowpop server. I just can't imagine how hard they must have fought to get those good people stay for such a long time, and how they are still raiding and working as a team. I had the pleasure of joining Inqui in Aq40 this weekend, where we were about 10-15 Unique players teaming up. Got a peek on Cthun, and killed the bosses before him (cept for Visc ofc). Personally I havent done this since retail, and it was great fun.

However I am very glad some people chose to stay in Unique. We want to progress with our own team, in our own speed(well, atm we dont have a choice regarding speed). It will take longer than on a regular high populated server, but in time I hope it would be worth my time. We need to work out some things with the structure inguild - though we've set some steps and guides already on our own forum to try and figure out what would help us best. But from what I can tell myself, we just need time. Time and patience. We will get more people, even though some will leave, and some day I hope we have a full raid - with dedicated and members able to understand the reality in raiding vanilla. There are very few "hard" bosses from my experience, but with a team of 15 and 15-25 additional individualists -  its hard

I wont...
4 ways devs can handle this, starting with worst possible:

1: keep their mouths shut, because they havent done anything to new naxx content. (my money is on this state, but no one is happier then me to be proven wrong)

2: tell us that they havent done anything. (still honest and can be accepted. Could also include further plans, which would make it even more acceptable)

3: keep their mouths shut, though they have done some stuff (which I find not that smart, since people arent gonna wait for this forever, so just out with it if you have)

4: tell us new shit's about to get launched. (paaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaardey)

Happy new year
