More USA GMs

If we got a US GM. and he abuses his position, what would you do?

Americans are capable of leading very well, our countries population has just now recently decided to simultaneously fuck themselves over with stupidity. (If we manage to elect Mitt Romney for president I suggest all of you fuckers move to space, because he'll blow you up regardless)

^ Made me lol so hard, though Dawoobie's probably right. On a related note I agree on the need for a U.S. Gm. Seem's most of the scammers and hackers have taken to using the hours they know are void of Gm's to do what they do best.

nah dawoobie, GMs don't hire anyone. We do not decide who joins the staff, we do give feedback but we don't hire them. And yes I stopped doing anything ingame for a good reason even before gelati went to spain. You should not complain when GMs drop out, you should be happy that GMs even do the job.
But I agree with the OP, we need more US GMs, more GMs in general since now it's only feris and I know how hard it is to be the only GM, especially with this community.

about 8 GMs from different timezones would be the perfect scenario but it's already hard enough to find only a couple of good GMs so I don't really see that happening.

If you say no, or gelati says no (god forbid you both do), I can prove over and over and over agan that you're opinions will be end up the decision. It should have always been Sinse's and Z's decision only but when they're absent I don't see why you shouldn't have a say - it's just usually not fair, or you don't explain why.
If you stopped, step down. People shouldn't confuse you with someone who is actively improving gameplay.
The few times I pop on I've only seen Sinker. You guys ditched the server and left ONE guy to shield it?

Well ofc I can only speak for myself and I give my feedback on GM apps but I don't force Zeard to listen to me, how would I? It's his decision (I feel like I'm repeating myself...).
I should step down from my GM position? How am I gonna do this? I can't find the line where it says that I am a Gamemaster. If you find it anywhere I will send you a hand made pie. With chocolate.
And yeah, we would have left the server with more GMs than just him... but there were none. I know you are assuming that imma wizard shooting laz0rbeams with my hands, summoning GMs and all kinds of magus sorcery but you see... it's just a meme

I don't see how painting the picture of what's causing that to fail is off topic either.
I don't understand what you don't get about this. What's happening is the server is labeled as "classic" WoW yet the rules, and stability isn't there. What made WoW so popular was everyone was equal and everyone could start from scratch and be some epic gamer. Equality makes WoW real it's what changes it from the new-age F2P games. There is no equality in apps, or decisions made by staff.
I don't know why that doesn't work for you, but I like things to be fair, especially when there's no reason not to be.
What you do joru is go beside the point, you do it in every argument.

I never abused any of it back when i was playing lol. Honestly. Anyway, honestly no matter how many +1 the application gets, it`s Zeards final word on it. I recall few applications getting declined even if they were perfectly filled out and had much support, or they were simply just lost in the sub-forum without anyone bumping them up.

equality does make the game what it is, however at blizzard people don't have public Gamemaster applications where people can give their shit. And they totally do not treat all applications equal. On the other hand a Gamemaster job at blizzard is also something you do full time and you get paid for it.
I see your point, there SHOULD be a professional server staff that really considers it as work but as we all see that's not the case. I don't think zeard considers this server as his workplace but more as a hobby. And for that reason VG never was nor will it ever be a professional server. That's just how it is. If you still expect it to change you an just aswell just hope for aliens to arrive on earth next week. The possibility is there but the chance that it will actually happen is... let's say a little bit low.

Anyone can change anything if they truly want it and go for it.
This server is so easily fixable. I mean really, all of this stuff has been done before.
The bugs, the staff issues, all of it's BEEN DONE BEFORE. Our server here is based on a chunk of history that millions of players went through YEARS ago.
I have WITNESSED 5 GM's fired at simultaneously simply because they didnt play at least every other day and were "immature". Staff have to be serious, you guys are put in a position where players expect professionalism. When you guys don't show it, it reflects in game. Player's think that because the staff don't really care about following ALL the rules or fixing all the abusable bugs it must be OKAY. This is called Psychology.

This isn't even a hobby for zeard it's a dying project that still is making him money. A hobby means you enjoy it, and you work on it because it's your own. Theres no contact to tell me any different.

I don't like arguing about this but please stop acting like all the things wrong here aren't fixable because that's an absolute filthy fucking lie. You guys (I won't assume a reason why) don't enjoy playing here fully and you guys don't want to put a lot of effort into it, I get this, but that doesn't mean VG should be doomed by the staff.

its almost useless to put in a GM app no matter who you are because 99.999999% of the time itll just turn into a flame thread instead of an application thread.  you want a professional GM but you come to their applications and spam 12 pages of mindless drivel....then wonder why they abuse you.

Also this is the internet.....anyone can say they are over 18 (you can be 18-60 and still be an idiot).  There is a famous quote i have used for years "You can only be young once but you can be immature forever".

There were a couple things i hated the most when being admin in any game:
1. Coming on my administrator name and being spammed with "whisper me!!!".
make a ticket....im not here to chat.  if i am chatting that must mean i dont have the next problem going on and im doing something fun for players.

2. Making a ticket/complaining/flaming the server in WC about <insert bug here> when im not sitting here in notepad editing code to fix your problem immediately. 

There are actual mature people in the US who play almost every day even when they work full time that have applied.  And naturally what did you people do?  Flame flame flame.  And more flame.  You are just asking for it. 

I dont see a dying project....progress is slow but theres not really any help to make progress.  Its mainly Mr. Zeard and Sin that post updates.....that is TWO people.  out of over 9000 people who complain about bugs.....im sure 1 has coding knowledge.  stop QQing and do something about it.  otherwise go back to feenix.  im not bashing on you Doobie...usually we agree on things (even if i lurk and dont post....you are usually spot on). 
Yes zeard is making money.....ive donated my few bucks....and ive never donated to a server before.....EVER.  i donated because i like it here....and maybe zeard will regain his passion for his creation, the only reason i actually reinstalled this game and still play is because of his server.

otherwise i would still be playing QUAKE TEAM FORTRESS.  HOOAH HOOAH.

I tried for a long time evard, I really did, and I still do try - they ignore my shit and take it as "dawoobie post". Nobody takes anyone willing to put effort into this place seriously.
I wish I didn't have to post endlessly in applications and shit like that but I KNOW the staff will NOT respond to 90% of the bad shit that goes on be it in game or on the forums. So maybe I try and tell these people why they're being disruptive for everyone else and how they can fix it.
Telling someone that they're doing something wrong, even if you tell them how to fix it, is not well recieved here by anyone - including me sometimes
The only people excelling here are the people who know how to pull vg's strings.
For example? It was almost unheard of for a single player in a raiding guild to have saved more then 5k gold by TBC. How many oldfags here have like 6 gold maxed characters?
