Q1. What is your main character's in-game name? At the moment, my main character is Flyín.
Q2. What is your real name? My real name is Petter.
Q3. Where in the world are you located? Norway.
Q4. What time zone are you located in? UTC+1
Q5. How old are you? 18
Q6. Have you played Retail and if so, for how long? I've played retail since 22/08-2007
Q7. What times exactly can you GM? (Be specific please : Days/Times etc) Weekdays around 5:00 PM and out the evening. Weekends may vary.
Q8. How much time each day do you spend on WoW, on the forums or in-game? Around three to five hours.
Q9. Have you had previous experience as a Game Master? And if so, on what server, and function? WoWJunkies server, EliteCraft Server, early-stage Arena-Tournament server.
Q10. Tell us a little about yourself. My name is Petter, I am 18 years old. I enjoy working out at the gym, listen to music and walk in the mountains. I also like fishing.
Q11. Explain why you think you would be a good GM. I am capable of handling most situations with a smile, rather than a keyboard thrown out the window. I am also consistently trying to be as effective as possible when it comes to just help players who need help, but also give them the service they deserve.
Q12. What interests you most about the GM position? Being able to instantly appear to players that needs help with something. Super fast service, I could say
Q13. What positive additions could you (or do you already) make to the server/Community? I really don't know. I think no players know me, since I've stayed pretty anonymous on the server, only queuing battlegrounds and mining in durotar.
Q14. We require all GM's to act professional at all times, this includes proper spelling and grammar.[We will not accept you if you have a lack of proper spelling and grammar]Is this a question? Anyways, I consider myself pretty fluent in the English language.
Q15. If you were going to submit a suggestion for us, what would it be? Find a way to even out the alliance/horde balance. There are many suggestions and ideas regarding that subject, and I think we need a whole subforum just to find a solution to this without creating disadvantages/advantages to the factions.
Q16. Events can get out of control, how would you pull a situation under control if it went bad? I don't want people that can't listen in events. If there are a few people that aren't listening, I will remove them from the event. If it's total chaos, I will simply cancel the event.
Q17. What do you think is the most important thing a GM can do? Help fellow players, and contribute; I think that a GM should be someone that also should consider contributing to the server with ideas and suggestions. Since GM's are closer to the "bosses", our ideas, suggestions and constructive criticism will be heard more easily and be taken more serious.
Q18. Do you know WHAT a gm does? Please explain. If the proof is provided, a GM will refund items that has been lost. Also, if people are stuck at something, in a raid as an example, I will be ready to aid them as fast as I can. All our actions will and are backed up by the servers' code of conduct.
Q19a. What will you do if a Player asked you for help? I would ask what his problem is, and help him with whatever I can contibute with. As long as it doesn't break any rules in the code of conduct.
Q19b. And when you don't have time to help him? When I don't have time to help anybody, I am offline. I dedicate my online time to efficiently help players.
Q20. What can you do to help the server grow? I am currently working on a server promo. I have quite a bit of fraps content now, but the last bit of the content I need is quite hard to get. The GM position is a plus here, since it will be easier to get the footage I need. I also have a lot of friends that play private servers, and I'll have to spread
the word to them. I am also participating on three different online forums, so I could spread the word there, too.
My forum account is relatively new. Is there any other questions to ask, please do - in the thread below
