In this video, we tanked the mobs in the same position, with our video recorder standing exactly where Scyld was in his screenshots (https://i.imgur.com/HxbUPPt.jpg / https://i.imgur.com/OYzWQkA.jpg) to try to re-create the combat log.  When doing so, we noticed something different than Rend dying twice.  Prior to Gyth/Rend spawning, we were actually doing damage to Gyth with melee cleaves only (blade flurry).  Coincidentally, it proves that there is in fact a Gyth and Rend on the other side of the wall where Marm was tanking the mobs.  When Gyth spawned for us, with just 1 blade flurry used prior, Gyth spawned at 45%.  It's very possible that Marm DID kill Rend without even realizing (Please note: I was unable to see my damage with Blade Flurry to Gyth unless I specifically looked in the combat log. Scyld did not see any damage done to the first Rend because he was not the one cleaving the boss, nor did he have cleaves enabled in his combat log, similar to our recorder.)

I'm aware it doesn't show it in his combat log. We will be making adjustments and running this again. The point of this post is to ask a GM to check if my theory is correct: Are Rend/Gyth on the other side of that wall?

Still this video doesnt explain how he got 2x rend kill there in SS if i am not wrong.
Another question is why marm wanted to kill all adds nd rend in that very corner cuz normally people do this event in the mid.
Another question maybe marm knew this before and also knows how to exploit this?
Like atm u guys have info that u can dps gyth/rend with bf/cleave but u dono how to kill that 2nd rend yet. While marm knows how to do abuse kill it.
Still this video doesnt proof his innocence.
Rest is up to GMs.

And even if u get to know how to kill that 2nd rend behind wall, that doesnt happen all of sudden for anyone. It means that marm knew all this thing before and knew how to abuse it and got caught.
This kinda of bugg is not simple bug that anyone can abuse it without knowing it.


In the end i would say just put that video which he was talkin about.

i did it in the corners so mobs werent fucking running around everywhere lol..

the pics i posted before of 1 corpse of rend/gyth in that run is more than enough evidence

if there were 500 rends behind there wall, in theory u could kill them all with aoe

but thing is

u wouldnt get any loot so why would it matter))

and in regards to me knowing fucking forms of abuse that others don't, ive probs pve'd less than anyone on this server so why would i be the one to discover it (if it even exists)

I am not speaking any trash its just common questions which maybe you need to explain but the above statement doesnt which you wrote doesnt make sense.

And as i already stated this kind of bug is not simple that anyone can abuse it without knowing it that they are abusin this. Its way more complex to abuse this kinda of bugg and i am already curious for the next video if they find out how to kill the 2nd rend.

from a multi-boxers perspective i would assume standing still and overhealing is probably easier than running around to avoid aoe

As another mboxer, I can attest to this at least. Particularly with Marms box group which included R14 toons, high stam pools and good weapons means you can nuke the dragons down and can afford to eat a few blast waves. Rend is still one of the most challenging multibox encounters that have been done.

As for the video, it shows you can damage Gyth/Rend before he spawns and potentially even kill them without noticing unless you enable the specific part of your combat log.

I don't know if Marm was doing something abusive intentionally, but this certainly makes it an interesting scenario. I know early in his Felstriker farming he never abused anything when I did a few runs with him (thanks for the Truestrikes!).

That doesn't prove innocence, either. But nothing has proved you're guilty. It's a private EU server where innocent until proven guilty doesn't apply, but with the current evidence we have (none) it's a ban based off a combat log that clearly doesn't mean you were necessarily intentionally killing and certainly doesn't mean you were looting two Rends, which would be the abusive thing.

It'd be better for them to just describe the abuse you were supposedly doing with evidence, and add that reproduction of the abuse is permanent ban worthy, than state you were abusing mechanics without evidence. Marm was a rather active component of this small server, which is why this ban probably being pressed much harder than other and should be addressed more than it is.

As a quick tip if you box elsewhere at the moment - Rend only cleaves with multiple melee around him.  If you only use your tank and just kill him slower with your ranged boxes it makes the Rend encounter itself a very easy tank n spank you can do even with one heal, caster, and tank alive.
