Q1. What is your main character's in-game name? Mathon

Q2. What is your real name? Matt L

Q3. Where in the world are you located (time zone GMT+/-)?     I'm US EST

Q4. When are you available to work as a GM? (Be specific please: days/times)  On weekdays I'll be able to dedicate 4+ hours a night and weekends I can dedicate 7+ hours a night.

Q5. How old are you? 18

Q6. How much time each day do you spend on WoW, on the forums or in-game? I spend about 3-7 hours a day so far on WoW in-game. I do my own thing really.

Q7. Have you played Retail? If so, for how long? I have not, but I've played on multiple other Vanilla Servers

Q8. Tell us a little about yourself.
- My name is Matt L. in real life, I'm currently an 18 year old senior in High School. I've been playing World of Warcraft since around the middle of the Wrath of the Lich King launch. By far my favorite expansion so far is Cata. I play Lacrosse and Basketball, I'm also the captain of the lacrosse team. I'm a volunteer firefighter for my community and enjoy volunteering in real life and also in online communities (such as applying for GM). I've always been interested in what it's like to be a GM on a WoW server and since I can't really just move to Texas to be one, I've decided that I would apply here.

Q9. Have you had previous experience as a Gamemaster? If yes, please explain.
- I have no previous experience, always willing to learn.

Q10. Explain why you think you would be a good Gamemaster.
- What I think makes a good Gamemaster is the courage to better the community as a whole and represent the community, even if that's simply pointing someone to the forum link so that they can talk to others it's the thought and the future that comes with it. Being a Gamemaster takes serious work and you have to be mature, an immature GM defines the GM team as a whole. It's not just yourself as a GM you represent but the whole VanillaGaming community. A GM also has to have time for others and has to be thoughtful towards other players but also not having a sense of being biased and abusing such powers.

Q11.What interests you most about becoming a Gamemaster ?
- What interests me in becoming a GM is that I love going around to communities and helping in any way that I possibly can, also I stated that I always wanted to have the GM experience. This would be my oppurtunity to see what a WoW GM goes through while also trying my hardest to help others out in the process.

Q12. Do you know WHAT a Gamemaster does? Please explain.
- What a Gamemaster does is responding to tickets in the server and making sure every report that is sent in is dealt with in a timely manner and at a professional standard. It's also a GM's job to patrol the server and making sure there are no botters and hackers. The GM's main responsibilty is making sure that everyone that violates the rules is dealt with and punished for their actions.

Q13. What do you think is the most important thing a Gamemaster can do?
- What the most important thing that a Gamemaster can do is be serious and be active. Be active as in a sense where tickets and reports are being dealt with.

Q14. What will you do if a Player asks you for help?
- I would PM the player to forward all concerns he has to me and I'll try to answer them to the best of my knowledge.

Q15. What will you do if you are unable to help?
- If I'm unable to help, I'll ask the person to stay online while I contact another GM seeing if anyone else has the answer.

Q16. Gamemasters always use correct English spelling and grammar. Do you?
- Yes

Q17. If an event gets out of control, how would you how would you handle the situation?
- If an event was to get out of control, I'd tell both parties of such event to calm down as I gather both sides and then resort to punishment if needed or the separation of the people involved.

Q18. Have you ever committed any act of fraud or dishonesty? If yes, please explain.
- I have not in-game

Q19. If you were going to submit a suggestion for us, what would it be?
- If I was going to submit a suggestion it would be to simply keep up the work and updating of the server and making sure that overall it stays alive.

Q20. What positive additions could you (or do you already) make to the server/Community?
- Positive additions is my willingness to get to know a lot of the people on the server and making my appearance on the server to help anyone in any shape way or form. I would be active and there for everyone that had problems while also keeping a mature attitude.

Q21. Professionalism, integrity, and honesty are required at all times. In what ways do these words describe you?
- Professionalism describes me as I'm a serious person whenever the time comes around and whenever I want to have fun I can also do so. Integrity, is an act of me not being biased to anyone of my friends if there were to be disciplined. Also tying in with the honesty is that I wouldn't hide anything or let any hackers by just because they're my friends.

Q22. Have you ever been disciplined by a Gamemaster on VanillaGaming?
- I have not.

Q23. What can you do to help the server grow?
- What I can do to help the server grow is making sure the server problems and reports are dealt with so previous personnel will stay on the server and new people will continue to play on the server.

Q24. Is there anything else that you would like the Staff to know?
- There is nothing else to my knowledge.

honestly I think it's a good idea if someone with zero connections to in-game guilds becomes GM

that being said he needs to prove to current leadership that he can handle GM responsibilities, and he needs evidence for that

I disagree, I feel this would just make the abuse of power even more prevalent as he has nothing to lose in the process, and a lot to gain.

What would there be to gain if that's the case?

I have no intention to abuse, I'm doing this so I can better a community that I'm not really fully connected with yet, it's so there is no chance of biased within the volunteership of me being a GM and so I can be trusted with any problem that comes up.

About the 4 questions, I copied and pasted this from the format so I'm guessing I'm not missing any. I'll be willing to add any questions I'm missing.

I just relooked at the GM Application template, and seems you might be confused with the requirements at the top which there are 4 of them and in red.

I also just recently made a forum account and I don't socialize that much in-game but I've been with the community for the requirement.

So you've played on VG for over a year? What guilds were you in?
