I've been trying to find the most effective stun lock build for PvP.

Does anyone know if the stun from mace specialization is affected by diminishing returns in this WoW build?

Most rogues I've discussed it with seem to think that 24/27/0(obviously with maces) is the way to go. With points in Imp expose armor and kidney shot the burst damage output is impressive and if you want to let go of a point somewhere to add cold blood it can be crucial for that last push.

I haven't tried the hemo alternative(3/25/23) personally, but there are some that swear by it. Having prep in battlegrounds can be a godsend as well.

Thoughts? opinions?

31/08/12 dagger spec (cold blood, seal fate, vigor, imp backstab, 2/3 initiative)
10 additional energy from the talents, plus 5/8 Tier 1 set bonus = 10 additional energy

rogue with 120 energy can kill most opponents from cloth all the way to mail armor
90% of opponents die before stuns runs out (from me)

i dont know do you like daggers, and did you ever tryed this spec for PvP
but again it all depends on good main hand weapon

for me not worth making stun lock spec if you are able to take away 40% of opponents health (lack of hits / crits, strenght and agility) for the entire duration of 10 seconds (like most of rogues from horde LoL)
because I do not know how good you are geared for PvP

21/08/22 is way to go for ungeared rogues in my opinion, combining stuns with improved gauge

If you ever have 1v1 situation and that no one can bother you try this rotation:
sap>cheap shot and try to not break sap and you will gain 2 to 3 CP
and repeat cheap shot until you gain  5 CPs, which you can use on kidney shot.
If by any chance you get 4 CPs, use gauge as an alternative that you can get for your time, energy and one additional CP

this is the best for Hemo spec: 21/2/28 (my favorite spec)

most important thing is to conserve energy!

This is cheating way how to do stun locks
with a little practice it is always easy to perform Cheesy

I've used 31/8/12 religiously since I started playing WoW and got geared for it. Make no mistake, it is heavily gear dependent but without a doubt 120 energy with a couple nasty daggers is a force to be reckoned with. Its not horrible for raiding either but the insane burst damage falls a little short when dealing with equally tier'd plate wearers and even properly geared shadow priests.

Personally I'm just looking for a change of pace/play style. I've found the best way to manage energy is with thistle tea and the ZG charm.=P
