what? Zeard will pay a c++ dev who can develop and do some actual work at his level .. He doesn't pay for person who needs teaching , so i believe that has been the case when apps have been refused , tho i dont remember what you are talking about

But no a c++ dev meeting the requirements has never been refused / nor will be for a job

and sins, Id say not doing anything to improve the server in over a year is a great reason to leave the server. Should we just sit here and wait for a meteorite with great scripting information lands on top of Z's head? Cus thats what it feels like.

Your ignorant to say so. Zeard has made many considerable fixes this year at an quite steady flow, so no its not a valid reason

and no, dont reply by describing what defines improving to you, since you have no clue, last time i looked i was the person completely aware of the server architecture and staff policies / the game content and development relation

What I wanted to say with my post wasnt that you havent done anything. Sure I see these quests being fixed, MCbosses getting retail-like. But the thing I wanted to push is that we dont have any insight into the work. What are the plans, what happens in the future?
We made numerous of posts about all c'thuns bugs, and almost didnt hear shit. Then one day *poof* hes fixed (which is awesome), but it came like a chock for us. You keep saying that Z and you have a private life (which you ofc should have) but theres too much time and money in this for you guys to just script when and where you like (its rly none of my business to tell you about that, but its wishful thinking from my side).
THe reason Janitor left is probably not because there isnt any content released/on the way, its that we dont know when it could be. It could be 1 week, 1 month, 1 year, and one will not simply and wait that out. We keep saying we want to grow, be a bigger server, and state we was first with pathfinding/naxxramas (which you should get phat cred for), but we act and progress into the future like a server opened for meself, drunk Chad, my uncle Bob and a guy I met at the mall.

Again, great server, great people on it and so forth (else I wouldnt be playing here).
Again, im not telling you what to do.
But this how the situation looks like.
What I would like is;
More insight into the future.
Open dialogue of what you want to do and where you want the server to be.
Last, seeing signs of above and other progressive stuff.

Im sure im not the only one feeling this way.

Then get another C++ dev and maybe pay him some Euro.
Pro: Zeard wont have to care anymore , cause he got someone to do the work for him.
Pro: New content -> More ppl -> More money
Con: Maybe he will steal the DB and make his own server, but I guess Zeard is smart enough to build in some stuff that the Server wont run (like "doors" so he can hack the new stolen server)

And i doubt they'll go anywhere for the reason that i've honestly stated we have not yet started working on new wing, which is what this case is about , and if anthems comment wasnt for this particular case then its completely irrevelant

My point wasn`t about "yet another big guild might disband or whatsoever". My point was that you are taking your population so lightly. You know yourself how long it takes for a server to recover if a whole 40+ guild leaves it. With your population of 300+ people, i`d say its a huge minus. Yes VG had luck to recover few times in a row, first Grandmasters (Thanks to Still Alive), after Still Alive horde was dead, huge fall in server pop, etc etc. Do not think that your luck will hold you forever. In your interest is that the server runs as long as possible, so you can learn your programming and shit, and for Z to fill his piggy bank. But if I was you i`d give more to these players, cause they certainly deserve it.

Well at the moment horde side is doing pretty well. Either it's new players coming on this server or rerolling from alliance. However, for example if guild would disband cause of everything is on farm, I'd just continue in a new guild. And if a big guild dies I'm pretty sure fourty people doesn't just dissapear. Few might, yes.
