First of all, welcome. I also play wow 13 years ago, when i had to abandon the game due to some serious irl stuff so I never get to endgame. I did get to lvl 60 that time but thats it. Tried Molten Core and Onyxia raid once. Well, those times where you would see people in every places in kalimdor or stv or scarlet monastery is over. There are some great instances like wailing cavern, SM, Shadowfang Keep where people would flock and you would see them queueing in front of the instances when they first have it in retail. Nowadays, people just want to relive that 40-man raid experience, coz the current retail dont have that anymore so they level to 60 asap and gear up for raid. There are lots of good instances for lvl 60 as well. Some people also want to get ready for classic retail, that's why they play in vg. I tried following the old path, so I pick the same class and race from 13 years ago, tauren warrior tank. In short, leveling in this server would make you feel a bit lonely, so it's best if you can get an irl friend to play together and level together if you want a x1 xp rate.
PK is basically a horde social guild, and its easier to raid since we have lots of people online. We used to accept everyone who needs a place to stay, but I think the guildmaster is going to change that and look for more quality players (interpersonal and skill). So don't be surprise if you see any bad attitude player, you will see that this is a small server where people know each other, so doing stupid and mannerless thing is not going to get you anywhere. Friends are more important than gears, that's my principle. people will remember if you "ninja loot" stuff in group/raid, being rude or being a jerk. But rest assure, there are more nice player around.
