yes. You can store them. You answered your own question, however.

Yeah Curve.
If they didn't have the 15x option, there would be a population of 20 or so people on the server.
I play at 60 because I missed being 60. Not because I wanted to quest forever. Now, I am not knocking on anyone who plays 1x, i just don't see the point of spending a full month leveling to 60.

I'm sure there are a LOT that you have forgotten.

Very long time since I played WoW - I never even bought Burning Crusade, but I did stay around long enough for my warlock to get a Felguard. What was that, about v2.2? Seems a lifetime ago now...

But as we all know (and as I've seen from the 'Mordor' meme pic used on this forum) "One does not simply quit World of Warcraft..." Wink

Sooner or later we find ourselves adrift on a sea of fond memories, longing to revisit our old stomping grounds once more. But there's simply no way I want to have anything to do with the game in its current form (it's certainly not the same game I remember!), so the next thing I know, I find myself washing up on these vanilla-flavoured shores Smiley

So here are a few questions before I decide whether or not to call this appealing vanilla beach my new home...

1) I'm not much of a Torrenty person but I do still have my original v1 WoW CDs (UK version). If I patched them with the appropriate UK patches (1.12 then 1.12.1 I believe?) would that work the same as the Torrent version?

2) I was never keen on openworld PvP in WoW. I did actually start on a PvP server but got so tired of the perpetual ego-barging and childishness (Stranglethorn Vale, I'm looking at you...) that I abandoned those characters entirely and started over on PvE. I understand this server is PvP, but I also note it has incentives to speed up progress towards the endgame and also Battlegrounds. Does this mean I'm less likely here to find some sad high level griefer with nothing better to do than repeatedly attack poor, innocent, low level human warlocks just trying to complete their Felhound quest in the Barrens? Not that I still bear a grudge about that after ten years or anything of course... *ahem* Wink

In other words, does much openworld PvP go on as regards possibly interfering with questing, or do people generally leave each other alone below max level and outside of Battlegrounds?

3) One other thing is that I rather like the idea of levelling at x1 experience - at least to begin with, for old time's sake. The true vanilla experience as it were Cheesy
As I understand it, there's a mechanism here that allows faster xp/gold gain - is that like a toggle command, or once done can it not be undone?

Thanks in advance for answers to any of these questions Smiley

A few things my man.
Firstly, as far as world PvP goes, If anyone gives you any issues, let me know. Hartslayer is the name and helping newbies is my game.
Secondly, there are (as far as I know) 2 guilds for 1x leveling. So try and get in one of those is that is what you are looking for.
Thirdly, I do believe the original game discs patched to 1.12.1 should work here. As there is no difference file wise between torrented and conventionally installed.
And lastly, you have GREAT writing habits! O.o   I'm kinda jealous.
Great to have you

Don't let illiterate people like that get the best of you.
This server actually has some cool people, believe it or not.

Oh trust me, I will not. I actually want to become a developer for this server or at least help them with marketing/population increases.

@Swollenglanz  As much as I appreciate that, I just feel like we should all be nicer to each other.
I mean I get faction rivalries, and that is fine, but why be a dick to the healer than just helped you through an instance for nothing?

@Nytemare1985   Yeah, He raged cause my Brez was on CD. I'm like, "I'm a druid man, It's on CD"
and he replied something to the effect of, rez me faggot.

@Bloomkin, what is wrong with them? I play perfectly well. As well as I am actually a tank/healer  29/21  so my bindings are generally set for tanking

These kinds of people, I believe are what make this server suck a little bit.
Generally the community is caring and supportive, and I joined this DM to HELP that warlock with his quest. And he pulls this kind of stuff.
I just implore everyone who reads this, to just have a little Heart (no pun intended). Just try and think of other peoples perspectives and just generally not be a dick.

Well, that's MY rant for a bit.

The community is active, but could always use new players.
Alliance is DEFFINATELY more active that Horde.
Content? There are 'patches' (hotfixes) done about 1-2 times a month.
CONTINUALLY vote. EVERY 12 hours ON the clock (if possible) vote. It's free gold, and gold is HARD to come by in comparison.
Only two wings in Naxx are open because less than 2% of players ever see Naxx.

Thanks for your interest and WELCOME!

I agree with him, TO A POINT.

The server does need change and the "top" guilds do control quite a bit of decision making.
The server COULD be a lot better than it is currenty, but above all else.

If you don't like it. Either be part of the change, or leave.

That's the way I see it.

Thanks for your time.
