Btw the image everyone is posting is a repost of a clever image created originally by the famous Arthos - tauren druid. Because lets be honest, I'm not clever enough to make an image like that.
That being said I have to agree with the message conveyed in the image. I rarely see GMs intervene with the general public when they need it. I do, however, very often see GMs help their own in game characters guilds during raids. Today I saw a player complaining about being dead and falling through the world for about an hour while two other GMs were online on their in game characters just hanging out in Ironforge. Eventually the player figured out how to solve his own problem, as many players do.. but I would much rather have had him had his problem solved much quicker. I understand that often tickets are addressed unannounced to the general public. But it is painfully obvious that this is the exception rather then the rule.
Anyway, I've been gone for about a month for real life training, and I'm excited to be back.
Will continue to enjoy surprising once the cover has been turned and words begun to be read.
