+1, mature, good application. Experience from previous servers. Seems a nice guy. Might as well give him a shot at it.

Talk about there being too many GMs is nonsense. There's a few active ones, more would definitely be desirable to help out with things.

In our guild? We have a pretty broad roster, around 100 unique players of varying degrees of activity.

That's because we aren't a hardcore guild in terms of attendance requirements: people should come when they feel like it and got time in their schedule. When they do come, however, we expect them to come prepared: consumables, flasks, attunements, nature resistance gear, frost weapons if need be, etc. We have a complex dkp system called EPGP which deals with measuring attendance/contributions and relative reward for it. So that keeps it all fair.

We rarely switch people in and out of raids to achieve goals. If we do, it's to get a message across. Like at Huhuran we replace those with no nature resistance gear with any reserves list people who did collect it. But we have no A-team and B-team distinction if that's what you mean, since this is bad for guild cohesion.

While I don't have exact numbers, the server on both sides has an active and sizeable enough community that is sufficient to sustain multiple active raiding groups. There are typically 2-3 major raiding guilds on each side, ranging in progress from MC/BWL to AQ40/Naxxx.

In <De Profundis>, Horde side, we raid MC, BWL, Onyxia and AQ40 every week, as well as ZG/AQ20.

I understand you are after really reliving the past in terms of wanting to start from scratch and progressing thru MC. New guilds do come up, so your best bet to relive such an experience would be to try join one of those, or create one of your own. Needless to say, this can be a true journey of hardship.

But it is possible. We built our guild from scratch, starting in Dec 2012. It's not easy, but it can be done.

My personal advice: join an existing guild and enjoy the ride. You'll relive plenty of old moments and have a more relaxed time enjoying it all, then building from scratch.

Well as you noted i have been critical of the GMs in the past. Whether its true or not alot of people on the horde side believe that the gms dont care about the horde. that they only play alliance. etc etc.

It's true that we're playing Alliance, but it's not true that we don't care about the horde. I summoned the horde guilds as much as the Alli guilds.... if I was online when it was needed!

On Topic:

Gelati, I don't think any serious person on Horde side thinks that GMs when confronted with 2 requests from Horde or Alliance, wouldn't help out equally. We trust they would. Nor do we run around thinking GMs can still do things like load TFs directly into inventories of people.

But I think we all understand when top guilds on Alliance side regularly raid with GMs in their midst, any problems they run into get more attention and importantly don't require proof (the GM is there after all and saw/experienced with his own eyes) or as extensive a waiting time to help remedy/alleviate trouble.

Yesterday we went to AQ40. It was a pretty awful run. Nothing to do with the people, everything to do with serial crashes, reboots that turned into long affairs, loot that went missing on several bosses.

We understand not everything can be perfect and Zeard & other developers were working hard on trying to sort things. But it would have helped TONS if a GM would have been available to respawn Bug Trio and Huhuran.  Both of which we killed, for both of which loot went lost as we crashed after kill. That's one of those situations in which having a GM in your raid makes a big difference. We posted on the forums, we posted help requests in game, but no response. GMs were apparently aware of an Alliance guild doing MC and postponed reboot for that (making us waste a lot of extra time before we could start Battleguard Sartura).

Wow, a player left on a positive note. Takes great character to do that!

We all need breaks. Go focus on your study and if you want to come back and pewpew on your Mage Horde side, let us know mate. Door's always open. GL.
