You really made a big change in degrees. That's awesome though. So you want to be a teacher now?

It's a huge change, indeed. Marketing wasn't anything for me, specially not to do for a living. Always liked working with people, so why not work with kids was my thought. So far I'm happy.

Last time you pretty much just disappeared didn't you? and thoose events you say you hosted i never saw them nor heard of them.

Hosted several events, and I had to quit GM'ing since I didn't have the time for it due to studies. It's not like I didn't inform the others.

I have been a member for 1 month or more - Check
I am 18 years old or more - Check
I can be online at least 3 hours a day - Check

What is your main character's in-game name?

What is your real name?
Kenneth Johansen.

Where in the world are you located?
Trondheim, Norway.

What time zone are you located in?
GMT+1 originally, GMT+2 in the summer.

How old are you?
22 years old.

Have you played Retail and if so, for how long?
I started my World of Warcraft career back when it first launched in Europe. I started playing on Burning Blade, and migrated to Grim Batol with massmigration due to Burning Blade was broken. Been active ever since, and my retail account is still active. Though, haven't been online for months.

What times exactly can you GM?
This is pretty much random, from day to day. However, regarding event, these will be scheduled events notified on the forums pre-launch. However, I will still be able to do tickets and other gamemaster related obligations atleast once a day.

How much time each day do you spend on WoW, on the forums or in-game?
Two years ago, you would see me online on forums, ingame or ventrilo if I were home. This has changed now that I've moved in with my girlfriend, but I'd say I'm online on WoW 2-3 hours every day through the week. I visit the forums atleast twice a day, either at home or when I'm at work.

Have you had previous experience as a Game Master? And if so, on what server, and function?
Many years ago I was a GM on a random server, doing events, but I can't recall the name. Wasn't a serious project anyhow. Two years ago I was a GM on this server, doing both Gamemaster obligations and events. So I'd definitely say I got experience, just need a couple of reminders.

Tell us a little about yourself.
22 years old, living in Trondheim, Norway. Started studying International Marketing, but figured out it wasn't the right path for me personally so I moved to Trondheim and started doing a bachelor degree for working with kids in kindergarden. Honestly don't know the english word for the education. Part-time job working with young adults with aspergers syndrome, and beeing with them in social enviroments and learning them how to behave in social situations.

Doing work behind the scenes is something I've done since I was a kid. I love to organize and do alot of the "boring" stuff, which ain't boring for me. I've been doing alot of huge projects during my years, started a gaming organization BX3 (still going), ArcticNova (Norwegian gaming-site, has been shut down. Was the biggest at the time, with 100 000 unique visitors / monthly) and worked at CatchGamer.no for some years (One of the biggest gamingsites world-wide). Also working as a game chief in the second biggest LAN in Norway.

Explain why you think you would be a good GM.
I take these things bloody serious. Great experience in both hosting tournaments and organizing both employeers and players. Been playing WoW actively since its release, both as a hardcore raider and a casual raider. So my knowledge about the game in general is huge. Belive i'm highly respected by the norwegian gamers, and I belive that is what drives me to continue doing such things. If people like what I do, I'll keep on doing it. And from my last experience as a gamemaster on VG, I'd say people liked the work I did.

How many events could you host monthly?
I could host plenty, but I won't. We don't wanna ruin the events by making too many of em. We wan't people to prepare and look forward for these huge PvP-events. I'd say hosting a PvP event once every week, and the small stuff randomly (Can be scheduled, though). The scheduled events should be done when there aren't many guilds raiding, but then again, I won't be hosting only on saturdays.

Let's say a perfect month would be:
4 PvP events (3v3, 5v5, 2v2, 3v3)
4 Hide and Seeks (scheduled)
1 Horde vs. alliance
1 Guild vs. guild (let's make that a 10v10, and the guild provides their best 10 players)

What interests you most about the GM position?
What interests me the most is events, which my main focus will be at. I belive that events is a key to keep players on the server. Not only is it something else than just jumping around in a major city, but hell, it's fun as well! I am used to answer people, both serious and less serious questions. It sounds quite rubbish, but I love doing the boring work.

I've gathered alot of experience and knowledge from my time as a gamemaster on the server, but also for the last couple of years. I'd like to host events where gear ain't the main factor, an easy example for this is Hide 'n Seek which is a fun, and very easy event that some people love to take a part of.

What positive additions could you (or do you already) make to the server/Community?
As mentioned in the previous question, the main reason I'm applying for this position is to host events. Years of experience of doing it, and I still love doing it. I am talking about events such as PvP events (1v1 - 5v5, horde vs. alliance, last man standing etc), and other events such as hide and seek, treasure hunt, level 1 race etc.

We require all GM's to act professional at all times, this includes proper spelling and grammar.
Its up to you to judge if I'm capable or not.

If you were going to submit a suggestion for us, what would it be?
(These are still valid)
Donation suggestions:
Casual: 60 starter pack. Includes bags, 500 golds, full blue set / armor. 25 euro.
Hardcore: 60 starter pack. Includes bags, 1200 golds, full epic set / armor. 60 euro.
Namechange: Name change. 20 euro.
Reroll: Reroll a character. 50 euro.

The reroll character is basicly just a way for Z to get more donations in, probably for him personally, but I've had this idea for a while. It's not to hide that Z is getting more and more out of the scene, and he is probably tired of this project, but he keeps it up which we should be grateful for. The last year there have been alot of developers hired, and stuff seems to get done (even though quite slowly). I know this was taken away because people was abusing, etc etc. However, this doesn't have to be available for every single gamemaster, Z can hire whoever he'd like to do this work, and that specific person can get payed for the work (say, 30% of the donation on rerolls). So 15 euro for 30 min / an hour work. It's not great money, but heck, it's something.

Events can get out of control, how would you pull a situation under control if it went bad?
With my previous experience in arranging tournaments, I am used to be in charge of both serious and unserious participants. The key is to be calm, and don't get frustrated. The question itself is very hard to answer, because it's all about the situation and the crowd. I have a golden rule, as long as you do what you're told, you'll be fine. However, if you can't listen, you will be ported away. No point wasting time on people trying to be hard on you. Tell people what to do, if they do not follow your orders, they are disqualified. Stay calm. Do not, under any circumastance, rage. If you rage, you're screwed.

What do you think is the most important thing a GM can do?
Without a doubt, act profesional at all times.

Do you know WHAT a gm does? Please explain.
A gamemaster is representing the whole server. He is assisting players in need of help, either it is questions about the server, community, the game itself or anything else that comes in mind. If the gamemaster personally can't answer, he will ask for further assistant. Treating the players with respect is important to keep them on the server.

What will you do if a Player asked you for help?
I would help him as much as I could. If my knowledge or power wouldn't help him, I'd ask for help from someone with more knowledge or power than me. It is not rocket science.

And when you don't have time to help him?
If I don't have time, I wouldn't have answered the ticket in the first place. If we're talking about regular whispers, I'd tell him the truth and told him to create a ticket so that someone else can assist him.

What can you do to help the server grow?
Helping the community to stay strong with weekly (hopefully, daily) events. Other than that, just remind people to vote for the server and recommend it to friends if they like playing here. After solving a ticket could be a good time to say remind people those things.

This is a small copied application from my previous one, but there are no reason to change some of the answers, because it's still my opinions.

Maybe it would be played more if it's not broken.

Could be, but I don't think the population is high enough. If there will be scheduled AV-events encouraged by Gamemasters (on weekends, non-raid hours), and it'll be fixed, then i think it'll be a great success.

Open for mages and maybe also a rogue. Closed for all other classes.

Can I re-roll for free gear?

Summer recruitments I guess.
9  Community / General Chat / Re: About Live Update... on: May 25, 2014, 08:18:00 am
Let's just hope it'll be here soon. I'm sure they are working on the updates, and on the new wings, and the frustration isn't because the devs are not working, but for the lack of communication by the leaders (read: Z and Sins). A simple "Hey, we're working on it" is enough to keep people here. No information, 6+ months waiting for any patch will make people quit eventually. Sad, but definately true.

I'm more into a huge battle, and you are allowed to release. Who can keep up the longest? Horde or alliance?
13  Community / WoW News / Re: WoD step forward or step backwards for Blizzard? on: April 08, 2014, 12:23:04 pm
I belive WoD is a step in the right direction. Decreasing stats is their best idea in this expansion, by far. Not sure what I think about the Garrison, though.
