get that new core from other parties.

It's not as simple as that because codebases and technologies are different.
You can't just slap our database onto a new core.

Furthermore there are known/unknown bugs in other cores aswell which have been fixed by VG already. Getting those right on the new core is a quest itself.

There's basically 2 paths to go:
1) Stick with current VG, adapt new core slowly on PTRs.
2) Swap entirely, try to migrate the database, patch the new core live.

Option 2 is definitely risky considering lost stuff noone notices at first, performance problems, attack vectors etc.

@Sorono/Simplest:
Dunno what happened to you but I think you were more positive for the server a few years ago and now you're a total douche.
How about you take the plug out of yourself and help towards it or shut up?
This was better when you were banned and cried for coming back.

Edit: from what I see on the forums.

I also don't get why you think that Chaos took fun out of the event?
I mean, we played AV just like you did, where's the problem? Did we do anything wrong or abused anything?

edit: Alliance pop isn't 3-4x the Horde pop though :-)

Still waiting for a reply, Simplest, or are you just shitposting?

This is over a year old and Buged isn't playing here anymore.

General advice: google "vanilla wow [addon name]"

If that yields wonky results, try encapsulating the vanilla term in double-quotes.

Some random plain text is fine to me  Cheesy

Quote
18-07-22 19:46:48 - Pauldrons of Elemental Fury: Oldshamy - 48

but my main concern is the use of field separators because it's unnecessarily hard to parse the 4 main fields: timestamp, item name, player, gp.
Everything except item name and player are separated by dashes, while again you find dashes in the date part of the timestamp.
E.g. parsing it requires multiple commands:

Quote
player = $(( cut -d'-' -f4 $line | cut -d':' -f2 ))
item = $(( cut -d'-' -f4 $line | cut -d':' -f2 ))

with a consistent field delimiter we could boil it down to:

Quote
player = $(( cut -d'-' -f5 $line ))
item = $(( cut -d'-' -f4 $line ))

OR

player = $(( awk '{ print $4 }' $line ))
player = $(( awk '{ print $5 }' $line ))

Quite noticeable when you parse alot of logs to create ratio graphs Smiley

Congratulations!
@the newly KT slayers: It feels awesome, doesn't it? :-D
It feels dull, it's like an emptiness in your heart. Especially after only less than like 10 tries in the two and a half week of progression we had on him. Need more content please (time for vanilla Karazhan)!

Reroll Horde and join <PK> to completely feel the achievement of getting 15/15 Naxx done ;-)

Moin Jan and welcome to VG!

We're a small but consistently active (;-) server that pretty much maintains a core community with a lot of history.

As Atreyyo said, currently <Chaos> is the leading guild on Horde while <PK> is populating the lower raids like ZG, AQ20 et al.

The Alliance has been shaken up a little lately so just apply to any of their guilds. All of them are great and having fun.

My personal advice:
If you're really into Vanilla and want to experience the gameplay, don't join a guild that's already far into progression. Start fresh and take your time.

Sehen uns ingame,
Pucchini <Chaos>
