The rogue section in general seems quite inactive, barely been a word here from when I first joined 4 months ago. But, found some old spreadsheets so figured I could share them, since they are public anyways.

Obviously they are both combat - as there are no other possible builds that are stronger PvE wise.

Combat sword spreadsheet: DOWNLOAD! (http://wikisend.com/download/156368/combat_swords.xls)

Combat dagger spreadsheet: DOWNLOAD! (http://wikisend.com/download/751020/combat_daggers.xls)

Both of these spreadsheets are made by Valar & Chalon, which resided on Lightbringer back in the days. This spreadsheet simulates the theoretical DPS output of Combat Swords & Daggers in a raid setting, based on the inputs of gear, enchant, and buff choices. It must be noted that theoretical DPS output and actual DPS output will vary for many reasons, often dependant on the fight in question. The DPS output is what would happen over a long duration in a fight where you can consistently and indefinitely attack from behind. The main goal of these spreadsheet is to be a tool to help see how various gear choices will affect your overall DPS.

When you open it (excel sheet), you will find a few tabs in the bottom bar, with the required information and such.

Good thing they are down actually, judging by the fact that daggers and swords are still split it's a hella outdated version. The last version before TBC can be found here: http://www.gamefront.com/files/17806081

Thank you. Btw i found yesterday that 29agi from my weapons (CTS+CHT with 15agi ehchant) gives only 0.7%crit instead of 1%crit which i get from any other 29agi in my non weapon gear. Crit % tracker was Theorycraft addon. Any thoughts on this? Didnt really know where to put this question, but hopefully i get at least some response.

Never trust theory craft, if you want to look up your crit rate properly hover over attack in your spellbook!

If theorycraft takes weapon skill into consideration and you don't have your sword skill maxed out right now, that could cost you some crit. Alternatively, the weapon you switched from had a little bit of crit on it already. At any rate, the spellbook tooltip should be more reliable.

Thanks for response, I`ll have this in mind.
Btw i checked out that spreadsheets, working like a charm, those guys really have made something there. I guess i shouldnt 100% rely on it since its all based on mathematical formulas and not each combination of geared is actually tested, it yet gives a rough preview of what i could expect from selecting certain gear choices.

Well, it's the same formulas you'll find implemented ingame for the most part. People put lots of effort into figuring out the way damage is calculated, the only cases where you will find the spreadsheet and the ingame situation disagreeing would be
A. there's a bug ingame
B. lacking/faulty implementation of things in the spreadsheet (they usually mention those, Empyrean Demolisher says that the proc isn't being considered correctly for instance)

Edit:
Well I guess there's also
C. User input incorrect
For example, the spreadsheet assumes a physical damage modifier of 0.9 by default (aka damage reduced by 10%) which would be the case for a ~611 armor enemy which is still lower than what your average boss is at after sunder + faerie fire + curse of recklessness so your DPS estimates will usually be higher than what you will be able to pull off ingame

And trust that VanillaGaming developers have got something right?
I don't think so.

Triple-check by looking into the spreadsheet, your attack-hover-tooltip and own calculations.
No lazyness in dps-maxing ;)

Updated the spreadsheet so you can choose None or Biznicks (simply adds +3 hit) as an enchant for your ranged weapon :)
