Title: New player looking for home
Post by: kitanta on June 10, 2013, 09:47:33 pm
Hi there,
My name is kit I have been playing wow retail since Nov 2004, and will be starting to lvl a toon here. I'll most likely be leveling a disc priest as I have been disc for 8 years, I'll be looking for a home in game. If anyone has room for me

Hey Kitanta! Nice to see someone who's actually considering playing a Priest here, haha. =) I'm pretty sure you've got a fair amount of Exp when it comes to Priest, so you wont need that much information. There's a few main Specs that are rolled as Priests in Vanilla, the main one being Holy/Disc for PvE Healing, and Disc/Holy for PvP Healing. Shadow is usually considering by PvP'ers like me the favoured Spec when it comes down to putting out insane Damage in such short time, but playing Holy or Disc can also make a big difference in both PvE/PvP situations. Feel free to throw me a short PM on here or In-game (The name's Pwnpriest). I'm always willing to have little chats with fellow Priest-Lovers, hehe. x)

Best Regards,
/Pwnpriest

Disc is worst spec

No Spec is the "Worst" Imo. Some Specs just work better than others in different situations.

^ indeed. and Tbh Ridi plays a fierce Disc priest when he choose to, so if you know how to play the class it doesnt mattr what situation your in, YOU WILL SUCCEED! )))

I took out 6 grey geared allys at the fucking stables the other day. Alone. As Fury.

Doesn't that just prove how good Fury in PvP is.

If you're relating to the use of any Spec in PvP, you're right in every way possible. Every Spec of every Class is viable for PvP in pretty much any situation. If you know the basics of what you're doing, you're not going to fail, no matter what Spec you're playing.

I can't really imagine killing a mage as a tank.

They might not be able to kill that one Class, but they can sure play the role of an incredible FC. x)

Nachos used to run around as a prot/fury (I think) mix and did surprisingly well vs casters with the silence/debuffing. But it's obviously not optimal and more for fun.

Seen Matheus run as an arms/prot. Dunno how good that is tho'.

I've ran an arms/prot hybrid (sacrificing enrage for last stand and revenge stun) which worked fairly well. You destroy most melee classes but you are a little gimped vs casters.

Fury/prot is a great fun spec, pop last stand and go completly apeshit
