Char rename faield

Hello.

I am trying to exploit a security breach of WoW on this version . First who exploited this vulnerablity on Blizzard servers some years ago was a romanian hacker and now I'm trying to achieve same thing to check if VG is vulnerable and also to find a way to fix or prevent this. Everything work fine until now but I have a question , do you have the "classic" way method enabled to change a character name ?

Let's say I want to rename my character, what is the procedure? Because this one surely dosen't work and I want to find out if I can do more or just to abandon the ideea.

My purpose is not to harm VG , on the contrary, I want to come with a solution to fix it .


BTW, hey Zeard, I've noticed that multichannel dos vulnerability was fixed, congrats. I couldn't get online anymore because of some personal problems to explain you in detail , I hope I didn't mess up anything.

If this can be done, there is a chance to pass the "banned" status so..

That romanian also found a solution to make the character to understand all "languages" between .. alliance and horde by example even if server has not this enabled. So.. a lot can be done.

P.S.  The ordinary method for a character name change is through the donation panel.  When 20 donation coins are spent on a rename, the character has the opportunity to select a new name during the next login.  This is achieved through an automated GM-level command.

Sorry hacking is not possible on VG, we have a bug free anti-cheat engine to prevent it.
