Salutations VanillaGamers!

February has arrived, and “Love is in the Air.”  The time has come for another new Live Update! You will be sure to “Love” the latest fixes and improvements to VanillaGaming.  Lets have a look.

First off, we are very excited to have a new Gamemaster: welcome, Iyndy!

Next, we are delighted to announce that the core system of buffs and debuffs has been given a complete overhaul. With the newly implemented Blizzlike priority ordering system, many common buffs (e.g., scrolls, potions, elixirs) which were adding the same character attribute will no longer “stack” together - the strongest buff will now replace or overwrite weaker effects.  This means that players will spend less time farming potions and can enjoy a more balanced interaction with other players and with their environment.  For more information, check out our demonstration video made by our talented tester, Buexx: http://youtu.be/nSdu1npapQ8

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSdu1npapQ8" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSdu1npapQ8</a>

We have begun work on an in-depth review of monster attributes, damage, and abilities to ensure that PvE encounters resemble the same challenges that adventurers faced in retail.  We have successfully completed our review of all level 60 content, and will move on to the low-level content during the coming weeks.

PvP has been heating up during the holiday season. During the months of December and January, fearless soldiers of both factions have been flocking to battlegrounds in record numbers to sacrifice life and limb for honor and glory.  A small number of mighty warriors have even reached the ranks of Grand Marshal or High Warlord.  To all these Battlegrounds champions: we salute you!

Based on the current levels of pvp activity, we have decided that the PvP Battlegrounds participation level is currently healthy.  In the near future, the PvP experience will get even better with the introduction of a standings-based honor system once we are confident that our system is working properly (not quite there yet, but soon).

Zeard has also been fixing a few stubborn class bugs.  Although our list of class bugs is still longer than we would like, we plan to keep on making incremental fixes during the next few months.

Speaking of Zeard, the shadow Zeard’s Evil Twin still looms over the Burning Steppes.  After devouring countless brave souls who dared to challenge it, the beast now lounges idly atop its mountain of skulls.  Fortunately, it would seem that the creature has been idling for so long that its Ferrari has run out of gas!  Robbed of this significant source of  power, the beast has become substantially weaker.  Perhaps now, at this late hour, there may yet be one final opportunity to save VanillaGaming from unimaginable evil - one last chance to save the world from certain doom.

You decide!

*Consumables
- Elixirs, scrolls and jujus that increases the same stat will no longer stack, for example Elixir of Agility and Elixir of Mongoose.
- Some elixirs, scrolls and jujus that increases a stat will no longer stack with certain class-buffs, for example Elixir of Greater Intellect and Arcane Intellect.
- Food buffs will stack with all other effects, but only 1 food buff can be active at any one time.
- Alcohol buffs will stack with all other effects, but only 1 alcohol buff can be active at any one time.
- Spirit of Zanza will no longer stack with Lung Juice Coctail or Gizzard Gum effects.

*World Buffs
- Players will no longer be able to gain multiple darkmoon faire buffs by staying offline during the 2-hour cooldown timer.

*Buffs
- Two different ranks of the same shaman totem (more than 1 shaman in the group) will no longer stack
- Inspiration, Ancestral Fortitude, Improved Lay on Hands and Razorhide will no longer stack
- Blessing of Wisdom should now work as intended and will no longer remove other blessings unintentionally.
- Hunters aspect of the wild + shaman nature resistance totem will no longer stack
- Priests shadow protection + paladin shadow resistance aura will no longer stack
- Amplify Magic and Dampen magic are now mutually exclusive

*Debuffs
- Viper Sting from multiple hunters will no longer stack. In addition, Viper Sting will now cause Freezing Trap to break.
- Demoralizing Shout and Demoralizing Roar will no longer stack
- Effects that reduces enemy attack-speed will no longer stack
- Many slowing effects will no longer stack (stronger slows overwrites lesser ones)
- Some effects that reduces targets Armor will no longer stack with Faerie Fire
Royalcoil's list is very nice too. Perhaps, someone can take a look at it.

As I said, this list is a very nice addition to keep all things related with "stacking" (video + the list) in one thread.

Less pain for people as they are already confused about the update.
