Hi, this is a topic for hunter talent specs.

- Basic Beast Mastery spec for leveling:

- Marksmanship PvE spec (also good for PvP):

http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#cxZxiohthtcbVmo

- Marksmanship PvE surefooted spec:

http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#cbZxEo0thtcbVV0h

- Survival PvP spec:

Does anybody have any other interesting specs? Smiley

I use this one:

http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#ci0h0xxZEVo0tht

I love the huge crit rate, and the fact that my pet won't be killed 5 seconds into the fight and can actually provide some DPS.

I see a few major and many minor flaws in each spec you posted. Here are the proper versions in my opinion. I also included a few extras.

BM Levelling  - http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#cx0GdxxktqVohx

Marks cookie cutter (my least favourite) - http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#cxZiVohthtf0fmo

Marks raid spec (if you lack +hit) - http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#cbZiVohthtILbboh

BM/Marks hybrid (#1 dps spec) - http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#cE000xxZiVohtht

Survival PVP - http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#cZtVohtZcbiik0ux

BM/MM PVP (scatter+intim for more control, good spec if you lack gear) - http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#cxV0zxLoZgVohthx

Drop arcane shot. It can be resisted and does sub-par damage compared to aimed shot.
http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#cx0G0xxZVAohxht would be a better build. If you're adamant about dragon / humanoid slaying then drop points from beast mastery.

BM/Marks PvP spec (currently using this): http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#cxV00xxoZxqohtZcbm

Best PvP spec for me because you have intimidation, scatter shot and imp wing clip.

Why aspect of the monkey? Wouldn't http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#cg0h0xxoZxqohtZcbm be better? Harder for people to kill your pet.

I mostly do duels, and Aspect of the Monkey helps me against getting raped by paladins :p

But a higher dodge chance can be very useful in other cases too.

If you'd want to make it harder for people to kill your pet, I would suggest spending all 5 points on Endurance Training.

Agreed.  Almost every spec on this page screams huntard.

http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#cZVEo0thtI0Vr0h

The talents in the second and  third tiers of the Survival tree can be swapped (e.g Deterrence as a complement to scatter shot if u tend to draw aggro, or undue mob attention... "L2Hunt Noob"), the idea is to get surefooted 3/3 here so u have an easier time with gear while being hitcapped. The 2 remaining points are floaters and depends on playstyle (e.g Improved Aspect of the Hawk.)

Why I did not put points in BM is because a hunter is more valuable than his pet in a raid, and the raid won't generally give a buck about your pet, unless the fight to go is really a long one. Going 5/5 or less Improved Hunter's mark points are also a matter of personal choice.

If your gear is dripping with +hit, you can also skip the surefooted talents and go 5/5 Improved Aspect of the Hawk and if you are at ease with the 30% attack speed bonus + rotation.

The reason why I still put emphasis on Surefooted 3/3 is for you to be comfortable with swap gear around when it comes to raiding equipment. I still recommend Improved Traps 2/2 since you will be asked to trap in many raids, e.g Packs in BWL, Imps in MC...

Remember, there is no absolute raiding spec. Until you have 480+ unbuffed agility and decide to try a Survival PVE spec (which I do not recommend for now), a Marksman build with maximised raid utility will get you a looong way into the game.
