WTF is this shit lol.
So NOT retail like.
My life was pvp on retail. And I could kill and camp low lvls for days if i wanted.
Watta load of crap.
Fking booo at u gms.
They also gave out those warnings on retail for camping. So calm down.
Absolutely never.
These are quotes from a blizzard rep concerning camping on a pvp server. They do say true they do not always get involved but they do from time to time.
http://www.wowblues.com/us/banned-for-pvping-on-a-pvp-server-9336871394.htmlI will say this, though: Being on a PvP realm is not a "Get Out of Jail Free" card. Should one consistently and maliciously harass another player—or zone—in-game for an extended period of time, we may indeed interfere. Such a move by our department is very rare, though, and absolutely dependent on context.
The ability to interfere should behavior be egregious enough—yes, even on a PvP realm—has always been in effect. The act is just so rare that it's usually not a staple of conversation.
Not at all. There is a difference between 2 hours, 2 days, and 2 weeks. There's a difference between hindering one player's game play through "corpse camping"—as is usual on a PvP realm—and completely annihilating progression within a lower-level zone for an extended period of time.
The key, as I mentioned, is context. We have no desire to disrupt the flow of normal PvP unless a player's actions are contributing so negatively that the spirit of the game is in jeopardy.
Also blizzard TOU states
http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/company/legal/wow_tou.htmlBLIZZARD MAY SUSPEND, TERMINATE, MODIFY, OR DELETE ANY BNET ACCOUNT OR WORLD OF WARCRAFT ACCOUNT AT ANY TIME FOR ANY REASON OR FOR NO REASON, WITH OR WITHOUT NOTICE TO YOU.
But from what I remember from the original game was that blizzard was still playing with the rules a bit, they did do things like suspend for camping on pvp servers, they also suspended for things like exploring, climbing buildings, stealing from players, and others. True they did not get involved a lot, but they did get involved. It was just necessary at certain times to maintain the game environment. It was a way of saying if you wanted to play controversially you do it at your own risk.
